The UBK 815 is notable for its upright, over-molded handlebars that offer three riding positions (upright, cruising, and road) and dual heart rate contacts along with comfort and durability. The overall width of the handlebars places you in a better ergonomic position, with your forearms more directly under the shoulders. In the road racing setting, the handlebars put your wrists in a natural, neutral position. Six workout programs and 25 resistance levels are complemented by touch and telemetry heart rate monitoring with Smart Rate. When you enter your age and weight, Smart Rate helps you stay in your fat burn, cardio, or peak target zone for a more efficient and cardio and weight-loss workout.

The bike's ergonomic, 10.5-inch wide seat quickly tapers to a narrow nose for improved riding comfort, and a universal seat post allows you to easily install your own saddle if you wish. The seat can be easily adjusted to any of 14 positions, whether you're on or off the bike. Designed for Knee Over Pedal Spindle (KOPS) biomechanics, the seat is at an optimal position for more efficient pedaling and reduced shear force on the knee. This places the forward knee directly over the ball of the foot (or pedal spindle) when the pedals are in a horizontal position.
Dual-sided pedals allow you to use them with or without the integrated straps. The pedals are extra-wide to comfortably accommodate feet of all sizes and ensure proper pedaling form. The seat and pedals can be replaced with your own for a customized feel and ride. Among the bike's other highlights is an LCD console that offers a clear, familiar layout and displays data such as calories burned, distance traveled, speed, time elapsed, time remaining, and percent complete. A convenient tap control provides an audible click when you press a key. Drink and accessory holders are conveniently located and ideal for portable music players. The bike is also equipped with handy transport wheels.
The UBK 815 sports a two-stage drive system that yields smooth, comfortable, quiet operation with a lower start-up resistance and more consistent resistance progression than typical single-stage drive systems. The three-piece crank tightens positively, reducing the need for periodic adjustments, and the 170-millimeter crank arm accepts any standard road or mountain bike pedal. An easy-to-remove shroud ensures quick access to the belt-drive system for maintenance and servicing without having to remove the pedals or crank.
